A circular route for experienced cyclists, starting and returning directly to the hotel. You cycle to the Segesta thermal baths, famous for their sulphurous water springs, to the slopes of Monte Inici, from where a spectacular panoramic climb begins, taking you over a thousand metres in altitude. The adrenaline-fuelled return to Castellammare del Golfo is on a single track known as the ‘100 hairpin bends’.
This circular route requires good training and gives the opportunity to combine sport and culture with a visit to the Segesta Archaeological Site, one of the first Greek colonies in Sicily. The first part of the route is by road; alternatively, you can request a transfer service. Then you cycle along white roads between rows of vines and olive trees, through the Bosco della Pispisa, until you reach the Pispisa Estate.
A loop bike tour suitable for everyone. You pedal along the picturesque narrow streets of Castellammare del Golfo, until you reach the Belvedere from which you can admire the town and the entire gulf. The itinerary continues with other extraordinary stops: Baia Guidaloca, a beautiful pebble beach lapped by crystal-clear waters, the Faraglioni of Scopello, the entrance to the Zingaro Nature Reserve, the ancient Baglio of Scopello, the ascent of Visicari, up to the Castle of Baida.
A challenging bike tour for experienced cyclists. You reach the hinterland along the sea, then continue to Visicari and the ruins of Baida Castle. The cycle route passes by the Bay of Cornino and the tuna fishery of Bonagia, climbs to Erice and, after visiting the village, approaches the descent and final ups and downs before returning to the hotel.
Another loop bike tour with departure and return from the hotel. The route touches the towns of Calatafimi, Vita, Salemi, and arrives in Gibellina where you can admire the Cretto di Burri, the grandiose work of Land Art donated by Alberto Burri following the earthquake that devastated this area in 1968. In the last part of the itinerary, towards Santa Ninfa and Castellammare del Golfo, we pedal through rows of vines.
A circular bike tour to Camporeale for a visit to the Sallier de la Tour winery, where you can take part in a guided wine tasting. Much of the route takes place on the SP10 road that connects Alcamo to Camporeale, an area with a long tradition of wine-making, among rolling hills and greenery as far as the eye can see.
